Cadbury Joy Chocolate Shoe Shop

Cadbury Joy Chocolate Shoe Shop
Back in May this year we created a chocolate shoe shop for Cadbury for the Unwrap Joy Campaign, were you could win what brings you made out of 12 kg of Cadbury Chocolate!

We created a vast range of shoes, boots and flip flops, all individually styled and sculpted from Cadbury Dairy Milk. We created zips, buckles, bows, flowers and laces from chocolate to make them look realistic.

Using just chocolate we were able to create a leather and suede finish to the shoes and also add some edible gold colour details to make the buckles and zips look realistic.

We spent over 800 hours creating over 50 shoes.
We made court shoes, peep toe shoes, flip flops, ankle boots with zips and buckles, trainers, brogues, Chelsea boots, wedge sandals, each one in its own style. It was great fun to make.

To set the luxury shoe shop scene perfectly we worked with Russell Beck who created a fabulous luxury interior with gold and purple velvet lined walls and gorgeous gold gilt shelves to display the shoes.

Chocolate Walk in Wardrobe made from 350kg Chocolate in Adelaide
I created a world's first in Adelaide, a walk in chocolate wardrobe. So much fun working in a great place with a great team of Aussies. We created the wardrobe with Fru Chocs chocolate. I made lots of solid chocolate handbags, shoes, hats, gloves etc to fill the wardrobe shelves. I also made a lot of items live at the venue and entertained the crowds. I was commissioned to design something in chocolate to celebrate the opening of a brand new shopping Mall in Adelaide called Rundle Place. I thought a walk in wardrobe would be unusual and fun to make, and it was!

All You Can Art- The First Edible Art Show back in 2003!
We have just found these images too, they are from November 2003, that's nine years ago. This was an interactive food art show that involved food artists from all over the world. Each artist created a course. I made dessert. It was a chocolate room, with edible chocolate portraits of Michael Moore and George Bush, you had to eat or destroy the most unpopular! Edible politics was created! Check out the links to see more about the other artists involved. This was in New York at The Flux Factory.

Prudence creates Cadbury chocolate mosaics in New Zealand

Prudence creates Cadbury chocolate mosaics in New Zealand
I have just got back from the Dunedin Chocolate Carnival where I created a series of 31 chocolate mosaics and portraits of New Zealand Olympic Athletes. It was amazing fun and I loved every minute of it!!! I used a whole range of Cadbury products to make the mosaics. It was really interesting to see the range of different products sold in NZ compared to what is sold in England. Why don't we have chocolate Jaffas here in England? They are soooo good! If you don't know what Jaffas are, they are orange flavoured chocolate spheres. Each year Dunedin Cadbury Chocolate Carnival roll 25000 of them down the steepest street in the world to raise money for charity, it is so fun! Like an edible lottery.

To see what I made in Dunedin, and the Jaffa race, please follow the links.

Chocolate Art Collection
Currently finishing a new range of products that are all inspired by various artists and themes. I have always loved Matisse, Dali, Dufy, Warhol to name a few. I want to pay an edible 'homage' to them for inspiring me to become an artist.
